What content is in Llamitas Spanish Morning Binder?

3 Binder Sections

Part 1: Daily Activities. Start each lesson with the calendar, weather, feelings, and basic introductions.
Part 2: Songs. Sprinkle these in at any time during your lesson! We recommend working on one at a time until the child has mastered it. Repeat, repeat, repeat!
Part 3: 27 mini units: One for each letter of the Spanish alphabet. Each unit includes a letter, number, color or shape, or review section. We recommend repeating one mini unit per week, or until the child has fully mastered the letter.

What Age is intended for the Morning Binder?

The Morning Binder is for Preschool aged children. It provides a gentle first step before the more formal Level 1 Curriculum.

How long Is a Lesson?

Each lesson takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. There are 27 mini units (one for each letter of the Spanish alphabet).

Each unit includes 3-5 pages of printables.

In addition you should complete the four ‘actividades diarias’ (daily activities) every lesson before completing a new unit.

Ch, ll, and rr are NOT official Spanish letters. They are taught as ‘sounds’ in Level 1 as per La Real Academia Española (RAE) guidelines.

What Does Each Lesson Include?

Yes, but the purchase of a Teacher License is required.

What’s the Difference Between the Binder and Level 1?

The Morning Binder is not a complete early years curriculum, but aims to provide a gentle first step for learning Spanish first concepts.

Level 1 is a comprehensive and complete curriculum. It is more formal in format. Many families choose to complete the Binder first as a primer, while others complete both simultaneously.

Pro tip: If you choose to do both simultaneously, then pull the letters from the binder that correspond to the letters in each lesson for Level 1. For example, in Level 1 Unit 1 (The Ocean) your child will learn letters Mm, Pp, Bb, Dd. You can pull these letters from the binder too for extra practice!

Is this curriculum secular?

Yes. The Llamitas Spanish Levels do not include any religious teachings or biblical content.

Secular does not mean we are anti-religion. It simply means that we don’t include faith based content. If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to contact us.

Our Holiday and Seasonal Bundle includes content that pertains to the Christian cultural celebrations in Spanish speaking countries. This is not part of our curriculum levels.

For the Printed edition, we ship to US states and territories. Shipping uses live rates and is based on the weight and distance.

We can ship internationally but the rate is much higher. For an international shipping quote, please complete our contact form.
