About Llamitas Spanish®
Academic and Beautiful Spanish Curricula
Corrie Wiik, Founder and CEO at Llamitas Spanish®, transitioned from a Spanish teacher to a curricula creator shortly after the birth of her first child.
She started a blog to share about the Spanish educational resources her family were using. Although many supported her journey raising bilingual kids, she couldn’t find an early years curriculum that provided strong academics for Spanish phonics, math and literacy.
So in 2021 she gathered a team of bilingual educators and artists across the USA, Latin America and Europe to help her create her dream curriculum.
After launching the first level ‘Preescolar’, Llamitas Spanish® received outstanding parent testimonials and is now being used in thousands of homes, Co-ops and Charters in the US.
Llamitas Spanish® has grown to 4 programs:

- Our lessons are academic! We provide a solid foundation in phonics, math and literacy. If you want your child to become bilingual and biliterate, this is the curriculum for you!
- The illustrations in our curricula are hand painted by our talented team of artists. We are not your average textbook! Every unit is filled with stunning illustrations to make learning joyful and engaging.
- Our lessons are rooted in Hispanic culture. From traditional Spanish nursery rhymes to famous works by Hispanic artists, Latin American folktales to cultural studies, our lessons promote cultural appreciation.
- Our lessons are open & go which means NO prep! Just open the lesson and complete on page! They can be facilitated in English or Spanish with our bilingual scripts.
